March Meeting

The workshop will be called "Let us Metaphor" and we will explore the definition, as devised first by Aristotle, and modern explanations of the filing system of the mind, mixed metaphors, and the blason
(a form in which the beloved is compared to a series of objects). We will have a couple of writing exercises and plenty of examples.
Robin Scofield is the author of the chapbook, And the Ass Saw the Angel, and Sunflower
Cantos (Mouthfeel Press 2012), her full-length collection. Her poems have appeared in The
Paris Review, The Texas Observer, and The Warwick Review. Her poems appeared last fall in
The Mas Tequila Review, Cimarron Review, New Border Anthology, and Mezcla 2. She writes
with the Tumblewords Project and is co-editor of poetry at BorderSenses. Her next book of
poetry, Drive, will be published in 2015 by Mouthfeel Press.
